Pick lists (or drop downs) that are populated on-the-fly from a SQL database are a very common business scenario. These are lists of things that change from day to day. Examples include available items, eligible users, current printer models, etc.
With frevvo's database connector, it's very easy to integrate this highly dynamic behavior in your web forms. Define the appropriate SQL query, give it a name, drag and drop a pick list onto your form, and connect the pick list to the query using a simple business rule.
Another common scenario is multi-level picklists where the choices in a list vary depending on what was picked in the prior one. For example, select a car brand and the next picklist displays the list of models for that brand. Select a model and the third list changes to display the list of trim levels, etc.
It's very easy using our database integration. Once again, define the queries, name them, drag and drop as many picklists as you need, and connect each one to the appropriate query using a simple business rule which passes the value of the prior picklist to the query.

The form can even read data from a query, display it, allow the user to make complex changes e.g. add a new line item, modify a second one, and delete a third. When submitted, the connector will run an Insert query for the added item, the Update query for the modified one and the Delete query for the removed one and correctly update database tables. Automatically!
